Community volunteers in Roselle Park came together to construct a new playground despite the gray skies. Andrew Neary, a newcomer to Pleasantville, felt compelled to give back to the community by helping renovate the park his daughter loved. The project, organized by Pleasantville Superintendent of Parks and Recreation Mike Newman, involved community members in the design and construction process. The new playground, part of a larger effort to update Pleasantville parks, includes inclusive play areas to accommodate children with disabilities. Despite delays, volunteers like Neary found the experience rewarding and highlighted the strong sense of community in Pleasantville.
