If you’d like to hear about local events and happenings, Jimmy also records a weekly look at the ‘What’s Going On” Calendar of Events that airs Thursday through Saturday on 100.7 WHUD!

Read more about Jimmy Lyles below:
During his senior year at John Jay High School in 2009, Jimmy coordinated and ran a cancer benefit called “Concert for Cancer.” To promote his fundraiser, he was interviewed by former WHUD Overnight host, Bruce Owens (then of Hudson Valley Talk Radio), sparking his interest in the radio world. After continuing his education at Dutchess Community College, he returned to Hudson Valley Talk Radio in 2010 as a guest on Radio Rotary. This is when he began to peruse his radio dream!
Shortly after his Radio Rotary experience, Jimmy accepted an internship from Hudson Valley Talk Radio, which houses three AM stations; WBNR, WGHQ, and WLNA (sister stations of 100.7 WHUD). While interning with HVTR, he also got marketing experience in Pamal Broadcasting’s Marketing Department for stations K104.7 (WSPK), 100.7 (WHUD), 92.9 (WBPM), AM920 (WGHQ), AM1260 (WBNR), and AM1420 (WLNA). Graduating in May 2011 with an Associate’s Degree in Communications focused in TV, Radio, and Film, Jimmy went on to further his learning at Marist College in Poughkeepsie, NY.
At Marist College, Jimmy had his own radio show and won the highest possible award at the school– Best Music Radio Show. Shortly after winning this award, he was welcomed as a part-time board-op on Westchester and the Hudson Valley’s Music Station, 100.7 WHUD! After learning the ropes, he quickly began to build his on-air persona and filled in for his first over-night music shift in September of 2012.
Besides being on 100.7 WHUD, he is also an engineer for all of the Army Sports Network broadcasts and produces “This Week in Army Football” and the “Army Tailgate Show” live at the United States Military Academy at West Point.
Jimmy owns a #1 Rated Entertainment Company, Jimmy Lyles Productions, where he gets to perform throughout the Hudson Valley and across the United States. DJing events of 50 to 5000, from Weddings to Sweet Sixteens and Proms to Charity Events, Jimmy gets to continue pursuing his passion for music! He is also honored to run and be the motivational speaker on a yearly cross-country tour, “Coast 2Coast: Dance Across America,” he’s the sound technician at VP Dance Academy in Fishkill and for Illusionist Ryan Dutcher, allowing him to host and perform annually at the United Nations in NYC.
